Nothing goes right some days. Good job, nothing. I had another... adventure involving cake batter in a bowl (premix, yeah) and a beater on high speed. I'm getting ready to show Susan my masterchef skills tomorrow. You know how potters spin bowls at high speed all the time, but if one side starts going wobbly, well... uh, yeah never mind. So I sat down to my evening devotions, or maybe we should just call it night devotions, since I had to do a bit of cleaning in the kitchen. Now I should mention the cake was a red velvet cake. So basically a vanilla cake, plus red food coloring, just to make poor Livi's life a horrible mess. And well, um when I looked in the mirror later, it was, uh, terrifying.

Now when I was at my night devotions, I was all the time trying to get these darn stains out of my skin. Well, I couldn't. And to be honest I was a bit distracted by them, and I was just glad I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. And it was at this time the song came into my head, "there is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins." I was reading through John, so I thought it was a pretty good fitting song, but I didn't give it a whole lot of notice, and just continued on with my reading. But I was getting kind of distracted, I'm ashamed to admit, but it's true. I looked like the CIA would be rocking up any time now, and it kind of still scared me to look in the mirror. I said this is stupid.

But then I said wait, what's the next part of the song?

"and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains,

lose all their guilty stains,

and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains."

- Livi.
